Fala Lamo is a grassroots civil society organization working to advance sovereign food systems, diverse community economies and locally-led landscape governance in East Indonesia.
Morro supports Fala Lamo from both a strategic advisory and technical support perspective on the following projects:

• Organizational development and long-term strategic planning to realize the organization’s mission to support community governance of ridge-to-reef ecosystems centered on community rights and ecological systems.
• Implementation support on strengthening local food systems, natural farming and landscape governance.
• Value chain mapping and analysis of community-based commodities such as nutmeg, coconut and smoked gar fish.

LUSANA is an Australian lifestyle brand that encompasses both contemporary resort wear and handwoven accessories. At the heart of the LUSANA design process is a commitment to integrity with the intention to share quality pieces crafted with a low impact on the natural and built environment.
Morro has worked closely with LUSANA on the following projects:

• The strengthening of social and environmental management systems including policy and procedure development and due diligence processes.
• Workshop facilitation on business model strategies in alignment with human rights and environmental objectives.
• Value chain mapping, analysis and engagement for handwoven artisanal products.
• Second party audits of supply chain and code of conduct training.

• Development of behind-the-brand communication pieces, including the facilitation of research and internal audits to engage rights holders along the company’s supply chain.

Planet Indonesia
Planet Indonesia is an award-winning international non-profit organization that conserves at-risk ecosystems through community-level partnerships.
Morro has supported Planet Indonesia over the course of three years on the following projects:

• Strategy development and change management for organizational expansion.
• Participation in five-year strategic planning processes for both their USA and Indonesian organization. -
• The Conservation Cooperative Approach is Planet Indonesia’s core model and at the heart of their efforts to support rural communities living in at-risk ecosystems. We worked with Planet Indonesia to co-design, document and formulate this core model, including creating a ‘how-to’ manual geared for replication.

Conservation International
Conservation International is a leading environmental organization established in 1987 with a global reach of over 70 countries. Drawing on science and policy innovations, Conservation International works to protect the critical benefits that nature provides to humanity.
Morro has worked closely with Conservation International on the following projects:

• Development of a framework to integrate surfing as a core zone within a Marine Protected Area (MPA). This project was focused on Indonesia’s most iconic wave, Uluwatu in Bali’s southern peninsula, as a case study to be integrated into preexisting MPA plans.
• Program design and development covered topics on global surf break protection initiatives, synchronization with preexisting marine policies, community outreach and program planning to aid implementation efforts.
